SAFSA Soccer Campaign

The themes for the campaign revolve around the idea of hitting on personal vanity and desire for recognition.

Players will get a chance to be featured on publicity material.Image treatment includes stylised fashion photography and vintage movie poster illustration.

The aim of this campaign is not solely to create an awareness for SAFSA Soccer, but more importantly to encourage higher participation, by allowing participants to bask in the glory of a commercial standard publicity campaign, to show to their friends and families.

Below are some concepts which could be incorporated into the campaign.

---------------------
Mood Boards
---------------------

VANITY:
This is a straight forward fashion shoot, which will involve stylists, make up artists, and a wardrobe department. Might be quite expensive, hence sourcing for sponsors is required. A low budget version could be possible, but might look less glamourous.

TENSION:
A stylised photoshoot, yet 'truthful' in subject matter, revealing the grim tension and anticipation of team players before a match.

FUNNY THINGS WE DO:
Image of serious soccer players in serious grim location, but with unserious poses, might be catchy.

COMMON PEOPLE BIG ASPIRATIONS:
Participants could each have a video of themselves showcasing their footwork skills and character traits, and the showreel could be distributed on CD-ROM in the mindef magazine. This gives the campaign a more 'human' touch where we see the more human side of the players and allows viewers to relate to them.

EMBODIMENT OF MAN:
Posters or postcards featuring individual players or star players could be distributed with the mindef magazine. Photographed in a gritty style to portray their man-liness.
Words written on body could also express their personal beliefs.

MOVIE STAR:
The players can also be featured in ficticious movie posters, using real photos or illusration, for a more fun approach.

LINEUP:
Line up of players featured on full spread or poster

SUSPENSE:
Player's backview could be used as a teaser promotion to create anticipation for the launch of the full campaign. Advertisements of such manner would not have any information given and get people talking and guessing what it is all about. Hype creation.
